Education: Discipline In Schools
Discipline is the action or inaction which is regulated in accordance with the school system.
The discipline applied in school is commonly to regulate or control the peaceful atmosphere of the school and protect the occurrence of misbehavior among the students.
Some of the common techniques of self discipline in schools include: time management, assertive discipline by the students, team building (corporate culture), learning to control and corporal punishment.

Laissez-faire Leaders: these are the leaders that have an attitude of trust and reliance on their employees, they don’t fully involve on guidance and instruction. Laissez-faire, leader let the employees use tier talent, creativity, resources and experience to help them meet their goals. In teaching however, we have teachers with the attitude, even tough we cannot call it bad attitude but there is time for the leader to practice Laissez-faire leadership style.
Democratic leaders: Democratic leadership or participative leadership or share leadership, is a leadership style which members of the group take a participative role to decision making process. And this type of leadership can apply to any organization from private businesses to schools to government. In school leadership, there is need for the teachers and school leadership to practice this kind of leadership style in most of the leadership in the school. Democratic style is termed as the best leadership style.
Authoritarian leadership: this is the opposite of democratic leadership style which characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members. Autocratic leaders make choices based on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept advice from the followers. We cannot oppose autocracy completely but there is a time in leadership where leader needs to be autocrat. In schools, we have teachers with this leadership attitude but participation of members in leadership is the best.
Behaviour modification: this is the process of changing the human pattern over a long period of time using various technique, mainly consequences. Though, reinforcements or reward and punishment. The consequences (negative reinforcement) and reward (positive reinforcement) are methods use to modify human behaviour patterns. Negative reinforcement include punishing students with a bad attitude like truancy, fight, stealing and so on, while positive reinforcement including rewarding students that perform good in schools, like having first position, coming to school everyday on time, being honest and performing all school activities.
Social and emotional climate in school: this is one of the ten components represented in the whole school community and child model. The social climate in schools that schools should comfortable, safe and nurturing. It is essential for students’ academic achievement and for the students’ and teachers’ health and well being.
